We are an NDIS fee-for-service provider, dealing with self-managed and planned-managed clients. We promote independence and wellbeing by adding value through advising on staying independent in your own home within the comunity. Treating all of our participants with respect dignity compassion and care in line with the NDIS standards. We understand people’s individuality; hence supports are focused on individual needs and preferences. What is NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) began in July 2013 and is supervised by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

The NDIS offers all Australians under 65 that have a permanent and significant disability with the essential supports neededs enjoy a normal life. The NDIS started with a small number of trial sites throughout Australia from July 2013 and is being launched in phases around Australia to guarantee it's successful and sustainable outcome. Those who are qualified to receive NDIS assistance are known as participants. Each participant has their individual NDIS plan that will identify the outcome they would like to achieve, the supports that is to be funded by the NDIS along with supports the individual requires. This scheme has provided individuals with disability, the ability to decide where and how they can access their supports. Funding is allocated directly to the individual to acquire the support they need, instead of funding being directly given to the service providers. The NDIS will fund ‘reasonable and necessary’ supports needed to meet your needs and achieve your goals. Depending on your goals, the funding in your plan may include the following:

Core funding

Funding that will cover functional assistance requires for everyday living as well as access community supports and activities.

Capital funding

Funding that covers the purchase of one-off items such as equipment, technology or modifications. It also includes funding for Specialist Disability Accommodation.

Capacity funding

Funding that supports skill building, training, learning, capacity building, accessing employment, improving health and wellbeing and support coordination.

If you are currently receiving services through a Queensland Disability Services funded organisation, the NDIA will contact you when it is time for your
assessment.

If you are not registered with Disability Services, you can apply for an assessment with NDIA after meeting the eligibility criteria.

To receive funding from the NDIS you must be eligible and meet the requirements to become a participant.

Eligibility criteria:

Have a permanent disability that significantly affects your ability to take part in everyday activities.

Be aged less than 65 and 55 for Indigenous, when you first enter the NDIS

Be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa or a protected special category visa

And live in Australia where the NDIS is available.

OR

Meet early intervention requirements where the person may not have functional deficits, but the impact of the impairment may lead to substantially reduced functional capacity without support.

In-Home Respite

From time to time, we all need a break to recharge our energy and increase our capacity to keep providing care. Respite care provides you with peace of mind, knowing that your family member is being well cared for by our qualified support worker. Our support worker will come to your home and take over your duties so that you can have a rest.

Minding Siblings

Family care – especially for children with a disability is essential for the mental and physical health of the child. Where they have siblings, the need to balance the needs of the siblings may cause conflict and tension for the parents. This is further exacerbated if the parents have to travel to seek suitable medical consultation.
